Pamela Crowder-Spikes

Pam’s love for cooking began under the influence of her late father, Henry William Crowder and mother, Mattie Kate Crowder. Pam grew up in Wadesboro, North Carolina with a rich culture in a small rural town known as Anson county.

My Story

Her culinary curiosity began at the age of 14 when her mother taught Pam how to make homemade biscuits which is a recipe that has been passed down from several generations, but her mother also introduced her to the world of baking some of the most  sweet, savory, and moist cakes; fortunately her childhood hobby of cooking blossomed into a lifelong passion.

Pam knows how to throw it down when it comes to soul food. She is famous for sourcing fresh and local ingredients, they are at the center of her Insta-worthy meal creations, and she believes that vegetables often add for a colorful, well-balanced plate.

At the tender age of 20, upon returning to Charlotte from Columbus, Ohio; Pam began a 20 year career as a manager and trainer in the Charlotte market opening and managing restaurants for various chains where she traveled around the U.S. ensuring food safety and hygiene, inspections, audits as well as implementing new process and procedures.

After giving birth to their second child Jamarcus, and their first son Matthew had just started kindergarten; her husband Johnny and Pam decided that traveling for business was no longer beneficial for their family, therefore Pam began a career in the financial service industry and currently works as a Scrum Master at Wells Fargo.

Pam has always loved family, friends, and fellowship. She and her longtime friend, Paula Holland-Williams started P&P Catering. Unfortunately, due to her limited capacity, Paula graciously exited the business; however, anytime we need a helping hand, she will rise to the occasion.

P&P Catering is a family owned company compromised of biological and spiritual family members that love and respect each other as well as our clients. Our goal is to deliver quality food, deliver impeccable customer service. We take pride in keeping the traditions of P&P Catering alive while adding innovative and delicious items to the menu.

A little fun fact about Anson County, where Pam was born and raised, movie director, Steven Spielberg and a cast of stars descended upon Anson and Union counties to film the acclaimed movie adaptation of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, “The Color Purple.”
